Leftovers Night
By courtney | December 3, 2009
Mexican Sushi is proud to bring you a public service announcement! Did you know that it isn’t a good idea to eat your Thanksgiving leftovers more than 4 days after they were cooked? In fact, sauces and gravies shouldn’t be consumed for more than 2 days afterwards. That’s why… ta da!… we are pleased to bring you a new holiday installation, “Leftovers Cribbage Tournament.”
My mom’s side of the family came over on Friday with their leftovers in tow for a cribbage tournament, which was really a general excuse for all of us to eat. It was totally fun, even if my Uncle Brad kicked our butts. Undefeated. He’s the dude to beat next year.

Meet my lovely cousin Aubree. She’s a conscientious girl who believes that her dolly, So, always needs a new change of shoes.

Meet my lovely cousin Sophia, the namesake of Aubree’s dolly. She believes her dolly should be more energetic, which resulted in a few interesting headslams for dolly. Oh well.

After a few grueling rounds of cribbage, Mom and G’ma Joy take a break to recharge. Wine + cribbage + turkey = happiness!

Hmm. Is it just me, or does Keith look like he’s stealing an extra serving while no one’s looking?
Mother vs. daughter in a nailbiting showdown. Sophia was present to advise both parties.

Sophia retires on G’ma Joy’s lap after a vigorous evening of showing her mom (my cousin Kelsey) the finer points of cribbage.
