It is Friday, which means that today is the day for chores and updating the blog. Yet… we have so little to tell you! There are no interesting pictures or groundbreaking events this week. You’ll have to put up with a list of randomness.
- Keith’s birthday is on Tuesday. So is Chris’ birthday (Keith’s mom). Make sure that you buy them some awesome presents, or at the very least, send them cards of adoration! (Preferably not with sickly pink hearts and sappy Valentine’s Day poetry, if you please.)
- We are going to Keith’s favorite restaurant on Tuesday. Can you guess why?
- The beginning of the month means the setting of the monthly budget. This is a truly annoying task that took up the entirety of last Saturday with receipts (interspersed with laundry and ironing)… and yet, doesn’t it always feel fantastic when you are ready to face the next month with everything in its place?
- The final season of Lost started this week. I’m suspicious that they delayed the beginning of the season just to coincide with Keith’s birthday month.
- Our friends Nick and Julie are going to have a baby this month! So exciting! This means that I need to go buy a very Portland-y baby gift today. I’m think that a onesie reading “Treehugger” would do nicely.
- We get to go out to our favorite winery with Todd & Jen tomorrow. Living in Portland, with the Oregon wine country a half hour away, is so lovely.
- I gave the preschool storytime at work during the last few weeks in January. It was pretty much awesome, and I feel a little sad for the rest of you that the occasional storytime isn’t a part of your job description. (Well, maybe it is for you moms, but do you get play with puppets too?)
It’s time to log off and buy that tree-hugging baby gift. Have a marvelous week celebrating Keith and Chris!
